Blond Jenny is a painter, photographer, and filmmaker. Her work is a mix of storytelling, self- portraits, found objects from nature, 360- degree photos, and videos.
Her recent work is focused on nature and life experiences. She uses video and photography with mixed media to expand the range of expression of her photography. She continues to develop new techniques to challenge the boundaries of her work. She likes to explore new media and play with it as part of her overall story. Her intent is to show that with nature we can be more connected and happy. She has found freedom in nature and continues to explore the path between life, death, and beyond.

“Blond Jenny’s relationship to nature is intimate, even erotic, in her self-portrait with purple freesias. Floral images have long been a stand-in for sexuality, but in Blond Jenny’s decoupaged panels are more explicit.” – Marilla Palmer
The name Blond Jenny originated from a cartoon character she saw when she was young. The Japanese style cartoon was her first glimpse into an expression of Western culture. She used homemade masks and created the alias Blond (with no “e” which means male in French) to expand her freedom of expression.
블론드 제니(Blond Jenny)는 회화, 사진, 영상 작업을 아우르는 작가이다. 그녀의 작업은 스토리텔링, 자화상, 자연에서 수집한 오브제, 360도 사진, 영상 등을 결합한 형태로 이루어진다.
최근 작업은 자연과 삶의 경험에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 사진의 표현 영역을 확장하기 위해 영상과 혼합 매체를 적극적으로 사용한다. 그녀는 작업의 경계를 확장하기 위해 새로운 기법을 지속적으로 개발하고 있으며, 새로운 매체를 탐구하고 이를 자신의 전체적인 서사 속에서 실험하는 과정을 즐긴다. 그녀의 작업은 자연과의 연결을 통해 인간이 더 깊이 연결되고 행복해질 수 있음을 보여주는 데 목적이 있다. 자연 속에서 자유를 발견한 그녀는 삶과 죽음, 그리고 그 너머의 경계를 지속적으로 탐구하고 있다.

‘블론드 제니’라는 이름은 그녀가 어린 시절 보았던 만화 캐릭터에서 유래했다. 일본식 만화는 그녀가 처음 접한 서구 문화 표현이었으며, 그녀는 직접 만든 마스크를 사용하고 ‘Blond’라는 가명(프랑스어에서 남성을 의미하는 e가 없는 형태)을 선택함으로써 표현의 자유를 확장했다.
