Fun, Flirty, and Festering
Fun, Flirty, and Festering is an installation that seeks to explore the darker side of modern dating and sex culture. Drawing from my own personal experiences, as well as those of others, the piece is designed to challenge the viewer's understanding of the feminine identity and the ways in which desire can become obsessive and even dangerous. The installation's use of luxury and affliction is a deliberate choice, meant to underscore the ways in which the pursuit of pleasure can lead to degradation and decay. By juxtaposing these elements, the piece seeks to confront the audience with the reality of desire, which can be both alluring and repulsive at the same time. At its core, Fun, Flirty, and Festering is an attempt to draw attention to the negative aspects of modern sex culture, particularly the ways in which women are objectified and reduced to mere objects of desire.The installation aims to draw the audience in with excitement, but upon closer examination, it reveals more erotic forms that gradually defile their first impression.
